Our History

Machakos Academy has grown as a Christian Pre-Primary, Primary School and Junior Secondary School in Machakos town — serving families with day and boarding options under the competency-based curriculum.

Foundation in Machakos

Machakos Academy was established to offer quality Christian education in Machakos town — a place where families could trust that their children would grow in faith, character, and academic excellence.

From the earliest years, the school set out to serve Pre-Primary, Primary School, and Junior Secondary School learners in a disciplined, caring environment. Day & Boarding Growth

As enrolment grew, Machakos Academy expanded its facilities so families could choose day or boarding placements that fit their child’s needs. Boarding brought structured routines, pastoral care, and a well-balanced diet alongside classroom learning.

Day scholars remained closely connected to home while enjoying the same academic standards, co-curricular opportunities, and Christian values. Separate dormitories, supervised study, and guidance counselling helped boarders feel secure and supported.

This dual pathway strengthened the school’s ability to serve families across Machakos and beyond — keeping student welfare and total development at the centre of every decision.

Co-curricular Excellence

Beyond the classroom, Machakos Academy invested in music, sports, clubs, and science so learners could discover talents that textbooks alone cannot reveal. Students have progressed to regional and national levels in music festivals, ball games, and the science engineering fair.

Today Machakos Academy continues as a Christian Pre-Primary, Primary School and Junior Secondary School in Machakos town — well equipped for the 8-4-4 curriculum with day and boarding options.

We offer a conducive, friendly learning environment administered by qualified personnel whose energy is centred on every child’s welfare and development. Parents meetings and academic clinic days keep families close to progress as we nurture individuality, talent, and self-assurance.
